Using a LUT in Post Production

Using my macro shot, I worked on my color skills with the use of a Lut. As a film major primarily, I use Luts to help get the color grade to look the way I want. A LUT is actually an acronym that stands for Look Up Table, and basically it assigns a value to each and every color on an image and moves those colors to the color on the table. A LUT is a powerful tool that can have a subtle yet significant effect on a picture. For this image, the LUT I used was a Warm Filter LUT and although the difference is subtle, it helps the image look a bit more natural while still having a and retaining the warm glow and feel.
